After graduating with his Bachelor’s degree, Cody was hired on full time to coordinate the yard and landscape crews. Over 15 million perennial liners are shipped annually to independent garden centers, wholesale growers, landscapers, and municipalities across the US and Canada. Each year, approximately 100 new items are added to our catalog of over 1,000 bare root and Elle Plug perennial liners. We understand the tremendous importance of offering superior product value, reliable service, and marketing tools for our customers. In the past decade, Tuincentrum Wolters. has also made great strides towards sustainable perennial production. A portion of a sample EZ Scape handout showing the perennial illustrations and planting plan.EZ Scapes are curated perennial recipes, paired by similar growing needs and providing frost-to-frost garden interest. Each EZ Scape comes with a specifically designed planting guide showing the recommended ratio of plants to put together, and an approximation of how much space they will take at maturity.

Walters Gardens has created a way for its retail garden center partners to hang on to those new gardeners that picked up the hobby during the pandemic. The program of curated perennial recipes and marketing materials aims to help last year’s new gardeners take the next step in their hobby. These perennials will be widely available at retail in 2024, but might be found as early release items or in industry production in 2023. Please note that these are rough guidelines and may speak generically to our broad client mix.

This new program from Proven Winners Perennials is looking to help IGCs and homeowners bridge the gap on the basics of landscape design. EZ Scapes™ take recipes of 3-4 perennials and pair them based on similar growing conditions and creating continuous seasonal interest. This continues with our delivery service, making a delivery to your door as hassle-free as possible. We work closely with dedicated courier services ensuring your products are delivered directly to your door as quickly and smoothly as possible.

How plants act may be unique to the conditions presented by your landscape/site. Orders shipped via our local delivery service will vary in charge and be specified at checkout. The delivery charge is based on the items that you are ordering and the total cost of your basket at checkout. This is calculated automatically but we have some information below to help with any potential questions. All furniture and barbecues will be sent on a pallet service unless otherwise specified. Walters has illustrations of the plants in the collection, so if a retailer has three of the four, the missing variety can be swapped out.

Cody gets loads of sun working in the yard and lots of face time with arriving wholesale drivers, and retail and landscape clients when he’s delivering. Cody manages all staff in the yard and works closely with Landscape Foremen to ensure that project deadlines are met and scheduled are adhered to. Cody is active with a few community organizations on behalf of Johnson’s Nursery, such as the Menomonee Falls Scholarship and Educational Fund. The Walters Gardens, Inc. story began in 1942 when Dennis Walters and his new bride, Harriet, took over the family perennial business from Dena Knoll, Harriet’s mother. The project marks the first phase of a planned 10-year, multiphase project for the wholesale perennial grower that was founded in 1946.
